Offsetting the Cost of Care

Agencies facing a caregiver shortage are challenged with growing their business and maintaining client satisfaction. According to Activated Insights, the turnover rate for the industry is nearly 80% and the caregiver shortage is worsening as care demand rises, with seniors expected to outnumber children in the U.S. by 2030.

How have you been able to get a handle on the cost of care?

Bob Nations, CEO of Senior Helpers Napa, has been very strategic around offsetting the cost of care, having been inspired by his own personal story of taking care of his grandmother.  Bob proactively tackled the challenge by adopting a virtual caregiver technology to bridge staffing gaps.

How do you approach growth and measure success?

Susan Kahlau, CEO & Owner of Visiting Angels – Forty Fort, Scranton & Lewisburg, has been dedicated to providing the highest quality of care and building strong relationships between families and caregivers.  Susan expanded to 3 new locations with over 200 clients by utilizing technology to monitor client-caregiver compatibility and gaining new referral opportunities with hospitals and care managers.
